Home remedies for diabetes

What is diabetes?

People who suffer from diabetes have developed a chronic disease that occurs because the pancreas is no longer able to synthesize the insulin that the body needs to be healthy.

All the insulin that is made in the body is created in the pancreas. The main function of insulin is to maintain blood glucose levels so that the body functions properly.

Insulin takes glucose through the body and transforms it into energy for the body. The energy is what the body uses to be able to make the muscles and tissues of the body work properly.

Insulin is also capable of storing glucose in cells so they can use it when they need it.

When people suffer from this disease, it is because there is an excess of glucose in the body called hyperglycemia that causes blood glucose is not distributed properly.

When you start presenting this problem, you should look for a treatment with a doctor because if diabetes is not treated, the tissues can end up badly damaged or even produce serious problems in the body or even the death of the person suffering from the problem.

Causes of diabetes

The causes for which diabetes can appear in a person, as well as the symptoms of them are given depending on the type of diabetes that the person has.

  • Type 1 Diabetes. Type 1 appears when the person is in their childhood or adolescence. It can also occur in the first years of adult life of the person. For many people, type 1 diabetes occurs very abruptly and begins by destroying the cells of the pancreas. This means that the body can no longer produce insulin in the right way. For this type, there is no need for a family history. In this case, the cause is that the cells of the pancreas are destroyed. If the disease is detected from the beginning of the disease, it can be artificially administered.
  • Symptoms of the Type 1 Diabetes. It is detected because it increases the need of drinking water many more times a day than normal and consequently the amount of urine considerably increases. People with Type 1 Diabetes have a much more tired feeling and begin to lose weight considerably even when the person has a desire to eat much larger.
  • Type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 occurs at advanced ages. It is many times more frequent than type 1 diabetes. When type 2 diabetes appears, it usually occurs because there is a family history.
  • Type 2 diabetes occurs when insulin production is very low. In this type of case, the doctor gives the patient some antidiabetic pills that the patient must take every day or treated with injected insulin. This type can go unnoticed for a long time so the patient does not realize until many years later.

Gestational diabetes

When seasonal diabetes occurs, it always occurs temporarily, although it must be controlled as well as the others. One of the times when gestational diabetes almost always occurs is during pregnancy.

During this period, insulin increases in order to increase energy reserves; however, there are pregnant women in whom this increase does not happen and this causes diabetes to appear.

Seasonal diabetes has no symptoms and it is very complicated for the person who has it to realize it. Normally, this can be seen in the daily examinations performed on pregnant women.

Gestational diabetes during pregnancy appears could appear during the 24th week. If during this time it is not treated, type 2 diabetes can develop over the years.

What are the symptoms?

Although many times we cannot notice its symptoms, we do can see changes in our body. The symptoms of diabetes are:
