Coffee grains comes from a hairless shrub, up to 6 meters high, with a woody and thin stem; the leaves are perennial, opposed, oval and entire, with an acuminate apex, of about 15 cm long and half wide, hard, coriaceous, bright on the upper part and petiolate.

The flowers are white, with 5 petals, pedicels and extremely aromatic, grouped in groups of 3 to 6 in small dense axillary clusters.

It is native to Colombia, Hawaii and Brazil, and it is also considered as a richer and stronger coffee, with greater amounts of polyphenols.

For it to be green coffee, it must not have gone through the roasting process, which keeps its properties intact and brings greater benefits.

Healing properties of green coffee

Green coffee was promoted in 2012 by Dr. Oz, an American specialist famous for his television appearances, and one of the best known health gurus in the world.

Among its benefits, can be mentioned:

It is important to note that green coffee is characterized by the chlorogenic acid it contains, which makes it possible to lose weight and, in addition, increases the intestinal secretion of the GLP1 neuropeptide. This substance produces a feeling of fullness and lack of appetite, which allows you to spend more hours without eating.

When the chlorogenic acid in green coffee interacts with the intestines, a cleansing effect occurs. That is, the system normalizes and eliminates toxins in a gentle way that helps fight constipation. However, the only drawback is that, in some people, this effect can lead to diarrhea.
